Founded in 1938, MESQUITA BARROS ADVOGADOS' office is located in its property, in the financial district of São Paulo, the largest capital city of South America. The office has modern installations, information technology systems, connection to the web through broad band, library with more than 12.000 volumes of national and international titles, transportation system to all Labor Courts and also a heliport on the 26th floor.

Its staff counts actually with 35 (thirty five) lawyers and 10 (ten) law students in training programs, all working full time, and has a total of 78 persons in the office. To this personel it is added the collaboration of more 50 correspondent lawyers in the capital cities of the country.

The professional services are performed under the coordination of 5 (five) seniors lawyers that work under the guidance of Dr. Cassio Mesquita Barros, Lawyer and Full Professor of Labor Law in the Law School of the São Paulo State University, member of the Experts' Commission of the International Labor Organization (I.L.O) in the Application of International Norms and author of many books and hundreds of other papers in the subjects of Labor Law and Social Security. The work at the office covers the preventive advice and consultation to clients, as it is always recommended in Brazil, as well as the specialized services in the cases in dispute. Complete audit is provided by the office, with its own software, destined to segregate from the labor claims, the work site of the employees that filed suits against the Company, permitting to know, for each one, not only the information of salary, but the section or department, where work was done, and to analyse every single one of the complaints in order to plan a preventive action for non-repetition of cases, as well as to estimate the values in dispute, by object, with the indication of the judicial or administrative contingency.

The software permits the identification and evaluation of the risks of certain procedures that may not be perfectly aligned with the Legislation, not only in relation to Labor Law but also to Social Security Norms. Any matter related to Labor relation is comprised in the range of activities of the office, including Medicine and Occupational Safety at work, having the collaboration of physicians and engineers, registered at the Labor Ministry.

The experience in the labor disputes is extended beyond the Labor Justice to the Federal and State Justice, to the institutions of the Public Ministry as well as the Ministries and Government Departments, not only for individual cases but also for Collective cases, as for instance the negotiations which are held with Labor Unions for Collective Bargaining and Collective Agreements.

The staff has 7 (seven) lawyers in post-graduation courses for Master or Doctors' degrees in the University, participating also in conferences, seminars, and lectures in National and International entities.
